Kurtis Johnson, Culinary and Dining Director

After 20 years in the hospitality business working with great chefs and managers in amazing establishments across the country, Kurtis wanted to do more than just showcase his culinary and leadership abilities.

He wanted to give back to others, and feel fulfilled. He found his opportunity with Solera Senior Living.

“The opportunity to bring an excellent dining experience to residents of Hunters Woods is very exciting,” says Kurtis, “and I can still be creative. I am always looking for ways to come up with new and innovative ideas to ensure that we are always growing.”

Creativity speaks to Kurtis in many ways. While he may hold a Culinary Arts degree from Le Cordon Bleu, one of his favorite foods is a hot dog. “I’m a big fan of the possibilities you could do with them,” he says. When it comes to a guilty pleasure, it’s Creme Brulee.”

Kurtis loves spending his spare time with his wife and two daughters. He’s also a Washington Capitals fan. Perfect vacation? A beach trip with the family. “I love watching my kids play in the sand. And beach towns always have great food and drinks!”
