Karin’s motto is “bring JOY wherever you go”…and she finds that bringing joy to our residents, as well as to the workplace, makes everything more rewarding for everyone. “I have a huge heart for seniors and for serving them,” she says.

Her deep respect for seniors and their life experiences began in her very first job in high school serving in a senior living community dining room, and continued in college where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and became a licensed social worker in healthcare. She also worked in pharmaceutical and medical device sales before circling back to senior living several years ago.

As Director of Sales and Marketing of Hunters Woods, Karin says she most enjoys getting to know prospectives and their families as they tour the community. “I like to learn about their individual needs and provide them with a solution.”

When she’s not in the office, Karin enjoys spending time with her new “hound” puppy, Bandit, (so-named because he has stolen her heart), re-designing her place, and enjoying anything related to nature. She also stays busy keeping up with her two college-aged sons.

For Karin, the perfect vacation is one where she can relax, as well as learn about the culture and traditional fare.
